My pitch for a Talamasca show starring Real Rashid:

I'm thinking a lighthearted spy thriller with some office comedy elements. Agent Rashid is back at the Talamasca office, unwinding after going undercover as servant to the vampire couple from Hell. But while he's going through boring financial accounts, he discovers someone has been stealing from their organization!

And so, Agent Rashid is determined to discover who it is and bring them to justice! And hopefully, get a cushy promotion out of it, too.

Little does he know his investigation will drag him across the world, encountering even more vampires like DJ Sam and the vampire Daniel (who is infinitely more insufferable as a vampire)!

(The culprit is Raglan btw, but we all knew that.)

I can't remember whether I've said this before, but I really don't like the way Dreamstat laughs during the Amadeo scene. like I get that Louis isn't actually laughing, I get it's a commentary on how Armand is doing the same thing Lestat did, revealing his sob story only after he's done something wrong. but this is something that could have been communicated afterward, maybe by Dreamstat while Louis is preparing to burn the photos and pretending he'll break up with Armand. like at least with Lestat and Magnus we're allowed to sit with what we've just learned while the Amadeo scene sort of has Dreamstat stepping all over a very devastating monologue. and perhaps more importantly, if Dreamstat doesn't laugh, then we get a better sense of Sam being the one to break the tension instead, which is how Armand portrays it. Sam is the one who catches Armand off guard by contacting him during a vulnerable moment to talk about Claudia misses the stores, which sets Armand off and ends with him being a massive piece of shit by choking Claudia and spilling her and Louis's Lestat-shaped secret to Santiago. and I honestly think all that would come through better if we focused on Sam's interruption instead of Dreamstat.

Someone on twitter mentioned that “Sam” was mentioned in the list of characters to look out for in season 3, and that it is possible this is the vampire Sam aka the playwright for the Coven. Which means that maybe he is as powerful and was actually able to block Armand during the trial? If that’s true, that is such a mindfuck and I’m not gonna comment on anything about the characters anymore until each season ends. Bc what do you mean the man everyone has been clowning all week might actually have significance. It’s giving the season 1 situation with Rashid aka Armand
